Established in 2006 with a dedicated state-of-the-art facility in ICAD 1, Abu Dhabi, UAE, FPT leads the group in manufacturing high-voltage power transformers up to 100 MVA, 132kV class.

Federal Power Transformers LLC (FPT)
Operating from ICAD 1, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, FPT specializes in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of high-capacity power transformers up to 100 MVA, 132kV. Featuring a dust-free, climate-controlled environment, modern CAD/Inventor design engines, and specialized oil-filtration bays, FPT provides certified transformers for utility substations, solar PV plants, oil refineries, and heavy industrial facilities.
FPT also provides comprehensive lifecycle services including transformer overhaul, tap changer maintenance, rewinding, and diagnostic oil testing engineered to IEC 60076 and ANSI C57 benchmarks.
Federal Transformers Company LLC (FTC)
Established in January 1999 in Abu Dhabi, Federal Transformers Company LLC (FTC) has delivered over 37,000 transformers and package substations across 5 continents. FTC manufactures distribution transformers, cast resin dry-type transformers, and complete package substations engineered for demanding environmental conditions.
With type-test credentials validated by independent European laboratories across more than 48 product variants, FTC products meet strict utility specifications across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, and South America.
Federal Transformers & Switchgears LLC (FTS)
Located in Russayl Industrial Area, Muscat, FTS operates in partnership with The Zubair Corporation. FTS holds triple integrated management certifications (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018) for the local manufacture of distribution transformers, power transformers, and switchgear for the GCC power grid.
FTS is a pre-qualified supplier to governmental authorities, utility operators, and oil & gas giants, offering custom electrical engineering backed by advanced 2D/3D CAD modeling and automated coil winding.
Federal Switchgear Division
Federal Switchgear manufactures low and medium voltage power distribution equipment in Abu Dhabi. Its production line manufactures feeder pillars up to 3000A, main distribution boards (MDBs), motor control centers (MCCs), and weather-proof control cabinets in steel and aluminum enclosures.
Fully type-tested according to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-5 standards, Federal Switchgear solutions undergo over twenty European laboratory type-tests to deliver operational safety, thermal stability, and fault withstand strength for commercial and industrial installations.
Federal Cables (Fedcab)
Federal Cables (Fedcab) operates advanced cable manufacturing machinery from Niehoff (Germany), Rosendahl (Austria), and Royle Systems (USA) in Abu Dhabi. Fedcab produces low-voltage building wires, armored power cables, control cables, and specialized fire-resistant cables conforming to British Standard (BS) and IEC guidelines.
Fedcab holds product quality certifications from DEKRA (Netherlands), LPCB (Fire Rated Cables), UL (Panel Wires), and EQM, alongside approval from regional utilities including ADDC, DEWA, ADNOC, FEWA, and DCRP Oman.
Wilmar Busways Division
Manufactured under technical collaboration with Wilmar International INC (USA), Wilmar Busways produces energy-efficient sandwich busbar trunking systems for modern power distribution infrastructure. Operating within a 55,000 m² state-of-the-art facility in Abu Dhabi under the Federal Electric brand, the division delivers compact busways for high-rise towers, data centers, hospitals, and heavy industrial plants.
Utilizing a "Glocalization" strategy, Wilmar Busways delivers American engineering design coupled with prompt regional manufacturing, competitive lead times, and global quality compliance.
